Autonomous AI Agents

Agents that do the work — and know when to call a human.

Purpose-built AI agents that reason, take action across your systems and complete real workflows — escalating to human specialists exactly when they should. Healthcare and customer service run in live operations today, and every other agent is built and ready to deploy.

What is an AI agent?

An AI agent is software that can understand a request, decide what to do and take action across other systems to finish a task — booking an appointment, updating a record, sending a message — rather than only answering questions like a chatbot. Tribe's AI agents run real business workflows on TIOS, the Tribe Intelligent Operating System, and hand off to trained people whenever judgment is needed.

Industry agents

An agent trained for your industry.

Each one knows the calls, requests and workflows of its sector, connects to the software that sector runs on, and hands off to a person exactly where you say.

Function agents

Or one for a function — in any industry.

Custom Enterprise Agents

Don't see your workflow? We'll build the agent that runs it.

When your workflow doesn't fit a template, we build the agent that does — designed around your process, integrated with your systems, and governed by the escalation rules you set.

Every live cycle feeds the next — the system gets better over time.

Most AI-agent vendors ship a demo. Tribe runs thousands of human agents in live operations — so our AI is proven by our own people before it reaches you, and there's always a human safety net.

Responsible autonomy. Agents execute; humans own the decisions that matter. Human-in-the-loop escalation, audit trails, security by default. Built by CodingKey.

FAQ

AI agents, answered.

What is agentic AI?
Agentic AI describes AI systems that pursue a goal through several steps on their own — planning, using tools and other systems, and checking the result — instead of producing a single answer. An AI agent is the working unit of agentic AI. Gartner predicts at least 15% of day-to-day work decisions will be made autonomously through agentic AI by 2028.
What is the difference between an AI agent and a chatbot?
A chatbot answers questions. An AI agent completes work: it reads and updates your systems, follows your business rules, handles exceptions and hands off to a person when it should. A chatbot might tell a customer how to return an item; an AI agent checks the order, issues the label and books the collection.
How do AI agents work?
An AI agent receives a request — a call, message, email or system event — works out what is needed using a language model plus your rules and data, takes actions through connections to your systems, and checks the result. Tribe's agents run on TIOS, which adds human escalation, audit trails and reporting around every step.
What is the difference between agentic AI and generative AI?
Generative AI creates content — text, images, code — in response to a prompt. Agentic AI uses generative AI as one component but goes further: it plans and takes actions across systems to reach a goal. Every Tribe agent uses generative models, but what makes it an agent is that it finishes the task.
What can AI agents do for a business?
AI agents take repetitive, high-volume work off people: answering calls and messages 24/7, booking appointments, triaging requests, processing documents, updating records, following up on leads and flagging exceptions. Tribe has agents for 12 industries — from healthcare and HVAC to insurance and hospitality — and four business functions.
Will AI agents replace employees?
Tribe's agents are designed to take the repetitive volume, not to replace judgment. Anything complex, sensitive or outside your rules goes to a person with the full context, and you decide where that line sits. Most clients start with a human team and move work to AI as confidence builds.
What do 'Deployed' and 'Available' mean on Tribe's AI agents?
Deployed means the agent is running in live operations today — Healthcare AI at CareHub and Customer Service AI as the AI receptionist in Tribe's answering service. Available means the agent is built and ready to deploy for your business. Tribe labels every agent honestly so you know exactly what you are buying.
How are AI agents kept safe and under control?
Every Tribe agent works within the rules you set, escalates to a person on anything complex, sensitive or out of policy, and logs every action in a full audit trail. Agents run inside Tribe's security programme — PCI DSS compliant, ISO/IEC 27001 certified and SOC 2 Type II audited.
How much do AI agents cost?
Tribe does not publish a price list for AI agents. Each deployment is quoted after a short scoping call, based on volume, channels and the systems the agent must connect to, and the quote is all-inclusive. The pricing models are explained on the How pricing works page.
Should I use an AI agent, a human team or both?
It depends on the work. Structured, high-volume tasks suit an AI agent; judgment, empathy and complex cases suit people; most operations run best as a hybrid. Tribe offers all three and lets you change the mix over time — the same service can be delivered by specialists, by an agent, or by both.
What is TIOS?
TIOS — the Tribe Intelligent Operating System — is Tribe's operating model that combines autonomous AI agents, enterprise platforms and trained people into one system that runs, measures and continuously improves operations. Every Tribe AI agent runs on TIOS.
